【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinindicatingthedifferencesinflexuralstrengthbetweenthevariousdimensionstones.Thistestmethodalsoprovidesoneelementincomparingstonesofthesametype.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedurefordeterminingtheflexuralstrengthofstonebyuseofasimplebeamusingquarter-pointloading.1.2Stonetestsshallbemadewhenpertinentforthesituationwhentheloadisperpendiculartothebeddingplaneandwhentheloadisparalleltothebeddingplane.1.3Asrequired,theflexuraltestsshallalsobeconductedunderwetconditions.1.4Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
